Financial Planning FAQs
Question: If I become a client with assets under management, how much do I pay for financial planning services?
Answer: There is no charge. For clients with assets under management who are paying a monthly management fee, all other Arbor Wealth services are complimentary.
Question: If I am not presently a client but desire to have a financial plan constructed and monitored, can you do that for me?
Answer: Yes, the services we provide are the same. We charge $225 an hour for financial planning, with a five-hour minimum.
Question: If your in-house attorney determines that our will or trust needs an amendment, will you refer us to an area professional?
Answer: Yes. We will provide the names and contact information of estate planning attorneys who have served our clients’ needs in the past.
Question: If you recommend that we purchase an insurance policy, will you guide us to an area professional here as well?
Answer: Yes. We do not sell insurance, or any other products, but we can recommend a trusted professional and assist you with the process.
Question: If I am about to sell my business, can you provide some helpful suggestions on contractual language and on structuring the sale?
Answer: Absolutely. We have helped many clients transition from business owner to retiree, and we have often been involved in every step of the process.
Question: If you construct a financial plan for me and my circumstances change, can you change the figures and provide an adjusted plan?
Answer: Yes, this is part of our monitoring process. Reviewing a financial plan with us is only the beginning of the process. The client must act on the mutually agreed upon recommendations and fund retirement, investment and savings accounts adequately, and of course we must monitor that process and provide feedback on plan progress.
